Saturday September 13, 2014 saw the annual South Yorkshire Charities Dragon Boat Race take place at Rother Valley Country Park.
Twenty-seven teams participated in this fun, competitive, fundraising event, and once again PMS Diecasting Ltd (Team – YoYoYoYa Boat to be precise) battled against other local dragon boat racing teams to support local charities.
Team spirits were high on this glorious day and ‘YoYoYoYa Boat’ came 2nd in their 1st heat against ‘Grip n Pull Pirates’ (Gripple Ltd) and team Loadhog in a time of 64.04 seconds over the 200m course! Dawn kept the teams timing in check as the role of ‘drummer’ in all 3 heats. ‘YoYoYoYa Boat’ triumphed in their second heat coming in 1st place against ‘Steel City Sinkers’ and ‘First4lawyers’ in 64.08 seconds and then went on to gain another 2nd place in their third heat against the ‘Aztec Dragons’ and ‘Dirty Oars’ in a time of 65.02 seconds.
